Will a personal trainer help me?

Updated: May 18, 2021

Have you ever wondered about whether a personal trainer is worth it? Can they really help you to attain the gains in the gym? We've been in talks with a few personal trainers who help represent Mean Protein and Harry has put together this detailed blog which highlights all of the amazing things that can happen when you get a helping hand from a personal trainer:

Why Should You Get A Personal Trainer?

First let me introduce myself.

My name is Harry and I am a Personal

Trainer and Online Coach. I first started working out at 17 to try and improve my strength and speed within football. From 12 years old I was playing at various football Academies and my dream was to become a professional footballer. At the age of 18 I was released from the Academy and I had no idea what i wanted to do in life. I knew I enjoyed the gym and started to workout regularly and focus on my nutrition. This is when I started to see some results fairly quickly and my friends started to ask me for some advice and what they should do to get bigger, stronger or lose weight. That’s when i realised i wanted to turn this into my profession and help as many people as possible get into the shape of their life!

Who needs a Personal Trainer?

So I regularly get asked, “why do I need a PT?” There are so many reasons why people should get a trainer or coach. You don’t have to be a body builder or wanting to get to 5% body fat to get the help of a coach. Here’s just a few reasons why:

  • If you are unsure of what exercises to do in the gym, a PT will assign you a variety of different exercises to get you to your fitness goal

  • If you are uncomfortable with being in a gym by yourself then a PT can familiarise you with your surroundings and talk you through all the machines

  • If you want to get fitter, healthier, stronger and don’t know where to start, then a PT is perfect for you. With all the training we go through we have the knowledge of get you into the shape that you want!

  • Even if you are very experienced in the gym and know what your doing. A PT is still for you! Having someone to hold you accountable and to check up on your progress regularly will keep you on track!

Online or in person?

I offer both online coaching and in person training. The online coaching is suitable for anyone of any age with any goal. As is the in person training. So how do you decide which on to go for?

If you lack motivation, aren’t comfortable in a gym, easily get distracted or don’t enjoy the gym. Then in person sessions are for you. This is because I will be there to motivate you, to tell you how to perform exercises and to push you to enjoy the session and progress each and every week!

If you are more comfortable in the gym, need some guidance with your diet, are already motivated and know what your goal is. Then online coaching is for you. With my online coaching you get a customised training plan, customised diet plan, weekly check ins to track progress and guaranteed results! The best part is you can do all of this from the comfort of your home! Everything is on my modern fitness app so there's no need to scroll through word pages trying to find tonight's dinner!

How do I start?

If you are wanting to get in shape and want either online coaching or in person training then there is no better time to start then now! The sooner you start, the sooner you get the results!
